Who would thought that even transgenders has its own and unique international beauty pageants. One of its advocacies is to promote awareness and gender equality in our society. Engaging different activities, helping out their chosen charities that they believe will help them nurture and educate people of being who they really are.

However, one of the most popular and spectacular transvestite cabaret show in Southeast-Asia is, Miss International QueenMiss International Queen (MIQ) is a very well-known beauty pageants for Transgender Women from different parts of the World to established bigger and brighter opportunity for transvestite/transgenders to be more acceptable, creating international awareness among communities, building friendship and exchanging of ideas among the LGBT Community.

MIQ was founded last 2014 in Pattaya, Thailand with their President Ms. Alisa Phanthusak. The show was named after the documentary of CNN television "This Is Life with Lisa Ling" aired last 26 November 2017.

Every year, Miss International Queen is looking for a Beautiful Transgender who will represent their trademarks and to educate people's awareness towards third sexes held at Pattaya, Thailand and owned by Tiffany's Show Pattaya Co. Lmtd. The contestants must have been born male, can be pre- or post-operation and between the ages of 18 to 35. In addition, participants can only represent their country of birth or that listed in their passport and must not have previously joined any publication/website/adult film/prostitution showcasing nudity. Previous winners or runner-up contestants are not allowed to join again. Repeat non-placement candidates are allowed to re-submit their credentials and application.
Only about 25 semi-final contestants chosen would go on to compete in the final round and are required to participate in two weeks of activities: photo shoots, luncheons with city officials, dinner with the press, sponsor visits and community outreach, similar conditions to competitors in other beauty pageants. The final show will be aired on Thai television as well as live online streaming.


Miss International Queen 2019 Full Show



The current Miss International Queen 2019 is Jazell Barbie Royal of United States won the title last 8 March 2019. She was the first woman African descent to win an international title. Jazel joined the pageant twice. At her first attempt, she didn't got the crown or placed. However, when she joined again for the second time, she was determined to bring home the crown. As the current reigning Queen, Jazel performs her duty to spread awareness to society and was busy with her advocacy.
Two years of no competition where made. In 2008, the organization decided not to continue the pageant because of political crisis in Thailand which was resolved at the same time. And was followed on 2016 due to mourning of  King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. 



The first winner of the said pageant was  Treechada Petcharat Marnyaporn or also known as Nong Poy. She is currently a famous actress in Thailand which had made several movies and her modeling career. During the competition, Treechada was being awarded as the "Best in Swimwear" and won the crown. 

Studies shows that among all of the beauty pageants, Transgender women expresses their thoughts and feeling to be more likely who they really wanted to be. Some of which gives them more courage to inculcate people that believing and be true to themselves is they key to path of success.
