The Famous Transgender in Singapore
Andrea Razali or also known as Andrea R was the most famous transgender model in Singapore who captivates the eye of Singaporean culture. Being in her own, she believes that being in a transgender is not a hindrance to achieve their dreams.
She was being called by her first name, she is multi-hyphenate and at the age of 28, her achievements gained more inspiration to others. She was a model, businesswoman and activist all in one.
On her interview with Singaporean website, she told that when she was still a kid she remembered wearing a women's clothes specially her mother's dress whenever her mom left from home and begged a Power-puff Girl Toy.
Instead of playing with boys, Andrea told herself that she was not really born to be a boy but instead of a girl.
When she was a child, she was teased of being "overweight boy" with a squeaky voice and then Andrea developed her sexuality and body dysphoria. She said she was in a wrong body and hated how she looks like.
Of all the places to discover that she was transgender, Andrea began to find out that she was different when she joined in National Service at the age of 19 and realized when she watched videos on Youtube of being a transgender.
She told that she told want to be handsome when she grow up, she was uncomfortable with it when someone call her.
Andrea went through the medical procedures and surgeries that complete her transition, and married her now ex-husband at the age of 26 and lived with him in Denmark, only to know him later in a year in her relationship she was being abused.
As difficult as it was, this courageous and independent young woman picked up the pieces of her life and fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a model. She underwent to an agency for models and surpass all the struggles of stages of modeling world. At the end, Andrea didn't lose her dream to become a super famous transgender model in Singapore.
Later that year, she started her won businesses.
On her interview with Coconuts-Byron Perry, she told that being trans is more common specially in Thailand and they are much welcoming. It was not a big deal of Thai's and accepts of being in third sex. She recall of being a gay at first and then how she was being transformed into homosexual and then transsexual.
Same as others, Andrea did also taking pill to grow and transformed of being a real woman in and out. And right now, Andrea was still pursuing her career on the limelight of modeling.
