A Story of Transgender Flight Attendant


Who would have known that these two lovely ladies from the Philippines who had made major impact in Aviation Industry?


Well, Jess Labares and Mikee Vitug was the first ever transgender Flight Attendant in the history of Aviation Industry in the local, Philippines. Both of them didn't believe that their small dreams will do come true. They don't even think that everything could be possible if they just believe in their selves and be true to who they really are. Now, flying from the most award-winning airline that gives honor and pride to the LGBT Community, Cebu Pacific Air proudly announces their first transgender Flight Attendant who will be soon flying and serve their out-most customer with dedication.



Jess Labares was a beauty title holder and had recently won as Queen Philippines 2019. This 26-year old beauty queen was a proud Visayan, a province of Leyte who made a great impact in the world of aviation industry. Jess, had won several beauty contest in the Philippines and most of them she was the title holder or placed. Never in her mind to become a Flight Steward until she was being convinced by her friend to try her luck to become a Flight Attendant. 


On the other hand, Mikee Vitug was a shy type girl who never also imagine to become a Flight Attendant. At first, she was hesitant to apply because of  rejections but only one thing in her mind is to show the society that nevertheless the gender, transgender as well can do anything and no can be afraid of.

Vitug and Labares were among the local airline Batch 11 of flight attendant who underwent two months of rigorous training.



On their interview with Ms. Karen Davila, they untold their stories on how they became an inspirational flight attendant of the said local airline. As they went viral on the social medias, soaring high all over the news and magazines these two lovely ladies recalls their struggle and hardwork with each training they've gone through. 

They just didn't want to be called a stereotype "Servidora Flight Attendant" or server on the cabin however they wanted to be foreseen as who they really are and respect of what they are.
